Course Design

This course is 4 weeks long, and five days per week.

  • 1st  week - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • 2nd week - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • 3rd  week - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • 4th  week - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Complete Course 160 hours
  • Pre-trip Inspections

  • Couple - Uncouple

  • Straight Backing

  • Alley Dock Backing

  • Shifting

  • Double Clutching

  • Turns

  • Uphill - Downhill

  • Ramps

  • Lane Changes

  • Space Management

  • State Class A Skills Test

      Individuals must:

  • Be able to read and write the English language.

  • Be at least 18 years of age (21 and above is optimum).

  • Be able to meet the DOT Physical requirements.

  • Have a valid driver's license.

  • *High School Diploma is not required.*
